Aluminium selenite, Al2(SeO3)3
Aluminium selenite, Al2(SeO3)3.7H2O, is produced by treating the basic selenite obtained from aluminium sulphate and sodium selenite with a dilute solution of selenious acid. It is sparingly soluble in water. Two acid selenites of the formula 2Al2(SeO3)3.3H2SeO3.9H2O and Al2(SeO3)3.3H2SeO3.2H2O have also been described.
