Aluminium thiocyanate, Al(CNS)3
Aluminium thiocyanate, Al(CNS)3, is a soluble salt, used in dyeing. When solutions of the requisite alkali thiocyanates are evaporated at the ordinary temperature, double salts of the type M3Al(CNS)6.4H2O (where M is K, Na, or NH4) are obtained as colourless, deliquescent crystals.
